Nick Cheung says wife Esther Kwan is okay now
19 Jul – Nick Cheung recently revealed that he and wife Esther Kwan are adjusting to life sans her younger brother, who passed away back in May.
As reported on HK01, the actor, who spoke to the media at the Hong Kong Film Awards where he was on duty as a presenter, was asked regarding the actress' situation, to which he expressed, "Everybody will encounter similar hardships in life. There is no reason to be happy every day. We're slowly adjusting our mood."
Nick also stated that Esther is doing okay now, and that since her brother's funeral has also been done, he will not talk about it again.
It was back in May that it was revealed that the actress lost her brother, who passed away following serious injuries sustained in a fall.
The younger Kwan reportedly fell down a hill while hiking at Lower Shing Mun Reservoir in Sha Tin.
Nick, who was in mainland China at the time to begin filming his new movie, returned as soon as possible to be with his wife, though he later had to fly back to the north soon after to resume filming.
