Shinhwa Successfully Completes Japanese Concerts for Grand Tour

For the first time in five years, arenas in Japan were covered in orange.

Shinhwa held its 2012 Shinhwa Grand Tour ‘The Retun at the Yokohama Arena on May 29 and 30, and at the Kobe Port Island Hall on June 2.

With over 30,000 fans in the audience, enthusiastically shaking their orange glow sticks, Shinhwa confirmed its existing popularity in Japan.

The Shinhwa members energetically performed their hit songs from the past 14 years, along with Venus and Hurts from their new 10th album. The group also remembered to sing songs from its Japanese single albums for its fans.

A Shinhwa Company representative said, “Despite the fact that this is the first concert in five years and also Shinhwa’s first time performing in Kobe, the members were very touched to receive so much love from the fans. The members will continue their efforts to put on the best performances for the fans who have constantly sent support and love.”

During the concerts in Japan, Shinhwa was interviewed by approximately 80 media outlets and over 100 reporters, receiving a lot of attention since the group’s last Japanese press conference in 2007

Now that Japan is crossed off the list, Shinhwa will be making its way to Singapore, the next stop on the list for its Asia Tour. The concert in Singapore will be held on June 16.
