Ng Man Tat was hospitalised for heart failure

14 Apr – Hong Kong actor Ng Man Tat, known famously for his sidekick roles alongside Stephen Chow, was recently admitted to the hospital for heart problems.

As reported on Jiangsu, the 62-year-old actor was recently taken to the Hong Kong Baptist Hospital for a heart failure that was later diagnosed to be caused by a bacterial infection after filming in Hebei recently.

Ng was even revealed to have been sent to the ICU for further treatment, though he has already been discharged and is recuperating at home.

In an interview that was held recently, Ng stated that the weather in Hebei had been bad during filming and that he had begun to experience troubles with his health.

"I went home to Hong Kong to seek Chinese traditional medicine, but didn't feel better, so I went to the Baptist Hospital," said Ng.

However, the actor assured that though he was nervous before, he is now okay and is slowly recovering.
