Letter from Lee Mi Sook′s Alleged Lover in Adultery Scandal Released
A new door has opened in the Lee Mi Sook scandal, as a letter from the man rumored to be in an inappropriate relationship with Lee Mi Sook has been released.
On October 29, MBC′s Entertainment Plus revealed a letter allegedly written by the man.
The reporter who first released the letter asserted that "he wrote the letter because Lee Mi Sook′s side threatened him."
In the letter, the man said, "I came to know Lee Mi Sook while studying in America, and I want to thank her for giving me much psychological and financial help. I promise I will never say or do anything that will harm her name."
In 2011, when she entered a lawsuit regarding her exclusive contract with the head of her former agency, Mr. Kim, certain suspicions about Lee Mi Sook′s personal life came to light.
At the time, Mr. Kim had said, "[The man] has been in an inappropriate relationship with Lee Mi Sook since 2006. 50 million won was paid in order to cover it up."
His comments, "He is 17 years younger than Lee Mi Sook and was a bar host," especially shocked the entertainment world.
The year which he mentioned, 2006, also drew interest because at that time Lee Mi Sook was still married to her ex-husband.
Many guesses on who the man could be and where he is now continued to pop up since then, but nothing more was revealed as he didn′t appear at the trial where he was summoned as a witness.
The new letter thus serves as new, surprising evidence in the scandal.
The man added, "I lied to a few people around me when it became hard for me to live on, and I also came to threaten others. I′m very sorry."
Lee Mi Sook has been engaged in a legal suit with her former agency The Contents Entertainment. She has sued the reporter who reported on the rumors that she was in a relationship with the man before her divorce in the process.
