Darren Wang: I don't know what my father wants to do!
9 Dec - "I don't really understand what's going on," said Taiwanese actor, Darren Wang, when asked about his upcoming project with his wealthy father, Wang Tai-qing.
According to Sina, previously, Wang told reporters that his son will not be joining Chen Yu-shan's agency as it was previously alleged, and that he himself will establish a studio and sign the actor.
Wang also stated that the new studio is currently planning a big budget movie which he hopes can be directed by Ang Lee and star Brigitte Lin and Rene Liu.
However, when asked about it during his recent appearance, Darren seemed confused by it.
"My father is the one who has been talking on my behalf. Yes, I would like to work with Ang Lee, but I don't know what my father is trying to do," said the 24-year-old.
As for criticisms from the public about his supposed reliance on his wealthy father, Darren said that his father did not play a role in his achievements today.
"But I do think that all parents love their children. I should be obedient to them," he said.
