Natalie Tong sings praises for "The World of the Married"
20 Apr – TVB actress Natalie Tong seemed to be filling her social distancing days watching a lot of shows on television.
After previously expressing her love for The Professor from the Spanish heist series, "La Casa de Papel", the actress recently sang praises for "The World of the Married", the Korean adaptation of the BBC drama, "Doctor Foster".
She wrote, "I always have doubt whenever an Asian production adapts foreign scripts since the resulting effect usually becoming nondescript."
"This is a Korean drama based on my favourite British drama, "Doctor Foster", but it has proven its own ability and strength. Of course, the plot and actors' interpretation will be different, and I appreciate that they do not blindly follow the original. It's very exciting."
On the other hand, when a netizen asked if she has been watching these shows on Netflix, Natalie easily responded that she watched it on ViuTV.
While some thanked the actress for appreciating shows on ViuTV, others expressed worry that she would be reprimanded by TVB for supporting its rival network.
