Natalie Tong says role in "Big White Duel" is a dream come true
11 Jul – TVB actress Natalie Tong recently admitted that she has already fallen in love with "Big White Duel" even before the drama became everyone's much-loved series.
In an interview with Wenweipo, the actress shared that she first acted in a medical-related drama eight years ago, though not as a doctor, and had since wanted to try the role herself.
"When I first saw the script and saw that I will play a doctor of the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E), I knew I finally got it. I have looked forward to playing this character for eight years, so I was really excited," she said.
Natalie said that the reason she wanted to play a doctor in a drama is because she was inspired by the work of medical professionals in real life.
"Sacrificing oneself to save another person is such a great thing," she said.
The actress also expressed her relief that viewers were supportive of her character Zoe's relationship with Dr Tong Ming (played by Kenneth Ma).
"I know that people keep thinking that Kenneth and I should be together, but we already have - in that drama. I hope that if there is a sequel, we will be able to continue to work together," she said.
