Natalie Tong finds out her true ancestry
29 Jan – Natalie Tong recently found out that she is not a hundred percent Chinese, thanks to a discussion with her relatives during the Lunar New Year.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress first shared about her ancestry on social media saying that she was told by her relatives that her grandmother is a mix of Dutch and Indonesian, which is why she is born with a high nose bridge.
Admitting that she was surprised by it, Natalie stated that she would like to undergo a genealogical DNA test to find more about her background.
Speaking to the media a day after the revelation on Instagram, Natalie stated that she rarely attended family gatherings in the past due to her hectic schedule, which is why she was only able to find out about her ancestry recently.
"Now that everybody knows, there is no need to ask me about it again," she added.
On the other hand, the actress shared that she is cancelling a gig in Zhuhai to ensure her safety, following the recent outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus in Wuhan.
