Nancy Wu unfazed by online criticisms of new relationship
7 Apr - Nancy Wu is not at all perturbed by recent criticisms regarding her new relationship with her boyfriend, who is now identified as a Doctors Without Borders surgeon named Chan Kin Wah.
The actress, who appeared at a Plan International event alongside good friend Mandy Wong and others, stated that she was told about the recently viral video of a netizen claiming to be Chan's junior in college, whom said that she was not worthy of the said medical professional.
The actress addressed the issue while attending a Plan International event, where she appeared alongside her good friend Mandy Wong. During the event, Nancy acknowledged that she had been informed about a recently viral video in which a netizen, claiming to be Chan's junior colleague from college, stated that Nancy was not worthy of being in a relationship with the medical professional.
"I asked my boyfriend who the other person was, but he said he didn't know them. It is quite interesting. Everyone cares about my love life and I have received many good wishes," she said.
Asked if her boyfriend comforted her after such a slight, the actress said that he told her not to care about it.
"He said not to be unhappy or have any feelings about it," she added.
As for her work with Plan International, Nancy said that she hopes the funds she would raise as the ambassador for the organisation's anti-human trafficking project in Nepal could be used to sponsor many girls and subsequently change their fate.
Asked if she would visit the girls with Chan, she said, "His scope of work is different from mine and his abilities are far greater. He is with Doctors Without Borders, helping people with medical issues. My responsibility is to bring back information about the visits to raise awareness."
