Nancy Wu admits challenge in preparing for stage play
2 Feb – TVB actress Nancy Wu is doing two things at the same time, as she continues to film her new drama, "Justice Pao: The First Year" and rehearsing for her upcoming stage play.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media at a brand event recently, revealed that she will be travelling to Hengdian in March this year to film the costume drama, while at the same time taking voice lessons in preparation for the upcoming staging of Steven Ma's "By Chance: Xu Zhimo".
Said Nancy, "I have a two-minute performance of Kungqu Opera in the play, so I have been taking lessons in preparation for it. The first class took two hours and I found it really hard to sing. I really am frustrated since I will be leaving to Hengdian soon and I have about only two months to learn."
"I hope to learn as much as possible in the short period of time," she added.
On the other hand, Nancy was also asked about TV Queen Natalie Tong's recent clarification about her supposed sombre reaction to Sisley Choi winning Most Popular Female Television Character.
She responded, "I haven't paid much attention to the news, but I remember the first time I won, my mind went blank. I can't even remember what I said or did. So I do understand."
Nancy also stated that winning an award is a cause for celebration, and that people should be happy for Natalie.
