Nana Mahazan is elated over son getting into the Villareal Malaysia Academy

23 Jan - It was tears of happiness all around for Nana Mahazan and the whole family, after son Aaqib was revealed to have been accepted to the Villareal Malaysia Academy for football.

Sharing the good news on social media, Nana posted a video of Aaqib reading the good news that was sent via WhatsApp, and husband Brian tearing up in joy.

"Syukur ya Allah. Praise be to God for the blessings... We are super proud of you, Aaqib!" she posted.

Nana revealed that her husband did the most in helping Aaqib reached his goal, going to his trial, training sessions, and giving him motivations in hopes that their son will make it to the academy.

"The other players were so talented. It was quite challenging. From almost 40 kids, down to 20, and finally the last 15. All the best Aaqib, fly high, train hard, stay committed and be consistent in your training... We are here to support you all the way!" she posted.

The Villareal Malaysia Academy is a partner of Villareal FC, one of the top professional clubs in Spain. It boasts some of the best facilities and coaching lineups in the country that can help create and develop the next generation of international footballers.
