Nam Goong-min finally wins Baeksang Arts' Best Actor
9 May - Nam Goong-min is elated that he finally won Best Actor at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards.
The actor, who won in the Drama category for his performance as the enigmatic nobleman Lee Jang-hyun in "My Dearest", addressed the fact that he had never won despite being nominated several times, and is happy to finally win this year.
He also thanked "My Dearest" screenwriter Hwang Jin-young, and added that he hopes to work on even better projects in the future.
It is noted that Nam has been nominated in the said category at the Baeksang Arts Awards three times before for 2016's "Remember: War of the Son", 2017's "Good Manager", and 2020's "Hot Stove League".
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-min was also finally awarded Best Actor in the film category for his performance in "12.12 The Day", the same movie which won its director Kim Sung-soo the grand prize.
He was nominated before, in 2006 for "You Are My Sunshine", 2013's "New World", and 2016's "Veteran".
