All the Right Moves
It wasn’t only a group of the world’s best dancers on stage at Lincoln center on October 5, when New York City Ballet hosted its annual Fall Gala. In addition to those performers, the event featured the vocal talent of Patti Lupone, Vanessa Williams, and Joshua Henry—as well as Wes Gordon, who designed costumes for the dancers featured in excerpts of George Balanchine’s “Who Cares?”
Guests including Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Christy Turlington, Karen Pittman, and Ariana DeBose—along with gala co-chairs Andy Cohen, Jill Kargman, Diane Kruger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jordan Roth, and Naomi Watts—enjoyed cocktails, a live performance, and a seated dinner, and the evening raised $3.7 million in honor of City Ballet’s 75th anniversary.
