Move aside Saizeriya, this restaurant in Tampines has pizza & pastas from $4.90

Move aside Saizeriya! Milan Cafeteria, a sister brand to Milan Shokudo just opened a new outlet in Tampines Hub.

Similar to Milan Shokudo, Milan Cafeteria offers a unique blend of Japanese and Italian cuisine. This innovative restaurant combines the flavours of both cultures, presenting a fusion menu that includes dishes like Japanese Clam Pasta (S$5.90), where briney and juicy clams meet rich umami pasta, and Smoked Duck Bismarck Pizza (S$12.90), featuring tender slices of smoked duck on a thin, crispy crust.

I could also see how this place would be a popular spot for students due to their budget meal options like the Margherita Pasta (S$4.90) and the Japanese Aglio Olio Pasta (S$4.90). Albeit I would prefer some protein on my mains for S$6.90, you could also get the Teriyaki Chicken Pasta. There is also a drinks section where you can get free-flow beverages for S$3.90.

What sets this place apart from Milan Shokudo and even other similar budget-friendly restaurants is their option for fruit tarts. Being under the same umbrella of brands as Fruit Paradise, these tarts seem to be the same ones Fruit Paradise offers. Favourites like the Classic Strawberry Tart (S$9.80) and the Classic Mixed Fruit Tart (S$9.80) are not to be missed.

Milan Cafeteria is ideal for casual dining with its cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, this fusion eatery provides a unique dining experience that combines the best of Japanese and Italian flavours in a creative and affordable way.
