Morissette slams netizen for cynicism over engagement

24 Dec – Morissette Amon has dismissed the idea that her international career would be over if she marries her boyfriend Dave Lamar.

As reported on Inquirer, the singer, who announced her engagement to the fellow singer earlier this week, was furious over a comment made by a netizen online, saying that her career would be over just like it had for Jocelyn Enriquez when she tied the knot.

She posted, "I don't reply to [messages] like this, but I will to you because you're [obviously] judging me too quickly."

"I frankly don't think I'm going to lose ANYTHING with my decision to get married, ESPECIALLY when the man I'm [going to] share my life with is the same man who is currently helping me with my music," she added, revealing that Lamar shot the music video of her new song, "Love You Still" which he also co-wrote with her.

"And this is just the beginning," she posted.

On the other hand, friends and fans alike congratulated Amon for the engagement, with Victoria Belo writing, "I can feel your happiness . I'm so happy that God has brought to your life the ONE. Hope to meet him soon."
