Moonbyul and Solar form sub-unit MAMAMOO+

24 Aug - Moonbyul and Solar will be the first MAMAMOO members to collaborate as a sub-unit among the quartet.

On 22 August, RBW Entertainment confirmed rumours of the said sub-unit, saying, "MAMAMOO's Solar and Moonbyul are preparing a unit album. The exact release date and specific details about the new album will be announced soon."

Following the confirmation, it was revealed that the sub-unit will be called MAMAMOO+, and that the project will be due out on 30 August.

MAMAMOO+ is also the first non-solo project for the group since its compilation album, "I Say MAMAMOO: The Best" was released in August last year.

Prior to that, all four members have released their own solo projects, starting with Wheein in 2017, Hwasa in 2019, and later Moonbyul and then Solar in 2020.
