Monica Chan denies being third party
9 Dec – Monica Chan recently spoke up about old rumours concerning her being the third party in two different relationships, and denied ever being involved in such affairs.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared on a mainland variety show, shared that despite past rumours, she has never been a third party and would never do that to anybody.
"I believe in respecting other women," she said.
Back in the '90s, Monica was accused of being the third party in Vivian Chow and Joe Nieh's relationship, when they started dating right after the two broke up. However, the relationship did not last more than two years, and Joe and Vivian finally reconciled and tied the knot in 2009. In 2008, she was again rumoured to have stolen Sharon Luk's boyfriend Chu Ming, though the relationship ended after only a year.
Monica also admitted in the interview that she prefers a more masculine man who could lead her and win her respect.
"But I am happy being single now. It's not that scary being on your own," she added.
