Miwako Wagatsuma ties the knot with Haruki Nakagawa
21 Dec - Japanese actress Miwako Wagatsuma recently announced her marriage with 46-year-old Haruki Nakagawa.
Sharing the good news on Instagram, Miwako wrote, "This is a personal matter, but I have married actor Haruki Nakagawa. Although he was very clumsy, he proposed to me by kneeling on the ground where the rain from the previous day still remained. At home he proposed to me through my daughter. He made sure that my daughter's doll hair is perfectly shampooed, treated, and even dried. I feel happy every day when I can sleep peacefully at night."
"I hope that we can all walk hand in hand through the ups and downs that life will bring. Although we are still inexperienced, we would appreciate your guidance and support. We hope that you will continue to watch over us with warm eyes," she added.
As for Haruki, the actor stated that he fell in love with Miwako after watching a commercial she was in back in 2007.
"Then four years later, on 28 September 2012, I got to talk to her for a movie magazine. Then another 11 years later, on 28 September 2023, we submitted our marriage registration papers. My dream has come true after over 16 years."
"Now I live with my wife, a four-year-old daughter, and a white dog. I'm happy. Walking the dog holding hands with my wife and daughter. Never thought it would happen in my life," he added.
