Ming Dao used to think Joe Chen has bad temper

22 May – Although the chemistry between the two were impeccable when they starred together in "The Prince Who Turns into a Frog", Ming Dao recently admitted that his initial relationship with leading lady Joe Chen was not that great.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the Taiwanese actor, who appeared on the mainland variety show, responded to a question regarding the rumour of the hostility between him and Joe, saying that the rumour was true.

"When filming [of the drama] started, we rarely spoke to one another. I thought that Joe had a bad temper while she thought that I was [arrogant]," he said.

However, Ming stated that the first impression began to change soon after, after he saw how well Joe performed.

The two had since become good friends, with Ming admitting that they would have dinner at least once a year.

Last month, he posted a couple of photos from the drama on Weibo to celebrate its 18th anniversary.

He wrote, "Thank you for remembering the story of Shan Jun-Hao and Ye Tian-Yu. I haven't seen Joe for a long time, next time I will continue to have dinner with her. In my mind, she will always be the most beautiful and kind girl."
