Michael Miu's daughter wants to create her own success
24 Jun – Michael Miu recently admitted that his daughter Phoebe has been working as an actress for a while now, though decided to do so outside Hong Kong.
As reported on HK01, the actor shared that particular information recently, after netizens found an IMDB page belonging to Phoebe, which showed that she has starred in several television and film projects including "Get Shorty" and "Past Never Dies".
Her IMDB bio read, "Phoebe Miu is a Canadian actress based in Vancouver, BC. She was born in colonial Hong Kong to actors Michael Kiu Wai Miu and Jaime Mei Chun Chik, where she grew up attending British schools. Immersed in sports, she trained and played competitively for varsity swimming and basketball, whilst completing the IB Diploma Program with a focus on theatre. She began pursuing a career in acting in 2015, after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a B.A. in Sociology."
When asked about his daughter's acting career, Michael admitted that Phoebe has done several projects overseas and decided to do so in order to succeed on her own instead of riding on his fame.
In a previous interview, Phoebe admitted that she is not interested in the idea of working with her father in a TV or movie project.
"Work is work, personal is personal. He is popular but he is also my father. We're not one and the same," she added.
