Miao Miao ecstatic to meet Julianne Moore
14 May – Chinese actress Miao Miao (also known as Vivi) has expressed regret for not having a better grasp of the English language after meeting her favourite Hollywood actress for the first time.
As reported on Mingpao, the "youth" actress who arrived in Cannes recently to attend the press conference of her new movie, "June", revealed that she was ecstatic to get to meet Moore at the Chopard Gentleman's Evening Event at the Hotel Martinez a day earlier.
"I really regret that I didn't learn English well when I was in school. I was so anxious to see my idol that I didn't know what to say," she said.
Miao Miao admitted that she was only able to tell Moore that she loves her movies and that she also learned a lot from it.
"But I think she felt my enthusiasm and didn't laugh at me at all," she said.
On the other hand, Miao Miao will be playing Aaron Kwok's daughter in the upcoming Wang Yang's directorial debut.
