Meerqeen gets his first Indonesian project

4 Nov – Following the success of his previous drama, "Melur Untuk Firdaus", 21-year-old actor Meerqeen is set to appear in the upcoming Indonesian web series, "Modus Operandi".

The actor, real name Muhammad Shameer Shauqeen, shared that being part of an overseas production was an interesting experience that he would never forget.

"I am happy that my hard work has opened the eyes of many, including foreign productions. I am thankful for all the offers received," he said.

Meerqeen and Anna Jobling's drama, 'Melur Untuk Firdaus' made it big when it aired back in June

Meerqeen, who was in Jakarta alongside his drama co-star Anna Jobling earlier this year to meet fans, stated that he was ecstatic after receiving an offer to star in the drama by Makbul Mubarak.

"As a new actor, this is the biggest honour, especially to be able to collaborate with Bank Rakyat Indonesia," he added.

Aside from Meerqeen, the upcoming web series also co-stars Krito Immanuel, Yusuf Mahardika and Diandra Agatha. It will begin airing via YouTube BRI on 4 November.
