MCM Taps Honey Dijon for the Ultimate Remix
MCM just teamed up with electronic music icon Honey Dijon for a new range of ready-to-wear and accessories. Building on Dijon's own eclectic identity, the collaboration sees the artist getting her hands dirty and having a pivotal role in the design process.
"I wanted to create a dissertation on travel and style. The merging of utility, beauty and craftsmanship. Creating a collection infused with legacy pieces, I wanted to resurrect the chic era of travel, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with modern sophistication," Dijon said in a press release.
Featuring a range of signature leather goods emblazoned with the words "Modern Creation Munich," the collection includes the Large Ottomar Weekender Bag, the Large Aren Hobo, the Mini Classic Crossbody and the Medium Aren Pouch. Elsewhere, the collaboration features a new cotton T-shirt in black and white colorways, emblazoned with the same lettering in yellow, pink and blue hues.
"Delving into [MCM's] archive, I came across a wealth of inspiration in which I 'remixed' the heritage house codes in new materials, vibrant colors, and new shapes," Dijon adds.
