Matthew Ho denies benefiting from Dickson Yu's departure

5 May – Matthew Ho has denied rumours that he has been getting a lot of jobs from TVB due to Dickson Yu's departure from the company.

As reported on Mingpao, the TVB actor, who was asked about the rumour, stated that he has always received a lot of opportunities from the company over the years, but that it doesn't mean that TVB is supporting him over the other actors.

"There are many actors in the company who are shooting dramas. A drama that I did a year or two ago is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022. I feel like I have a lot of projects, but it has nothing to do with Dickson," he said.

As for the rumours that he received the offer to play the lead in "Let Me Take Your Pulse" because of Dickson's departure, Matthew stressed that he has been in negotiations to do the drama for a while now.

Dickson announced his departure from TVB earlier this week on social media, writing, "Ending is another kind of beginning and leaving is another kind of encounter. From now on, do whatever you want."
