makan@Grab: Find hawker stalls with delicious food & a booze bar at Grab HQ foodcourt
I’m sure you’ve already heard of Grab’s headquarters situated at One-North business park featuring an impressive nine storeys. Here’s introducing makan@Grab, a foodcourt that’s not only accessible to Grab’s employees, but also to the public. Only GrabPay is accepted here, so be sure to download the Grab app.
With floor-to-ceiling glass windows illuminating the space with tons of natural light, the food stalls are designed to look like the historic Peranakan-style shophouses that you’ll normally spot at the Katong district— what a cute and ingenious idea!
Let me give you a sneak peek of the food stalls that are available at this food enclave.
For traditionalists and noodle fans, Old Airport Rd Wanton Noodle will surely be a hit. Besides the Signature Wanton Noodle (Dry/Soup) (S$7), be sure to try the Mala Chicken Cutlet Noodle (Original/Black Sauce) (S$7), Prawn Pancake (S$7) and Fried Wanton (S$4 for 12 pieces).
SPOON ME is a new concept introduced at makan@Grab where everything can be eaten with just a spoon! There are three kinds of rice dishes served here: Nasi Briyani, Nasi Lemak and Jollof Party (also known as tomato rice).
Choose from a selection of meats and seafood such as the fiery Devil Chicken Briyani (S$13), Cuttlefish Nasi Lemak (S$11) and Mutton Munchies Jollof Party (S$12).
Common Grill by COLLIN’s sells various grilled steaks, pastas and other delectable Western delights from the same people behind COLLIN’S® Singapore. There’s also Donburi Maruya, which is a Japanese food stall which is opened by ex-restaurant chefs. You can expect to find different types of donburi and Japanese curry dishes here.
If you’re looking for a place to chill with your mates over some booze, makan@Grab also has The Bar which sells a variety of beers, wine and cocktails— perfect for a good time after work. There’s also Cupfy, which is a health-centric tea shop specialising in Oolong teas.
It looks like there is now another awesome dining spot for those who are at the One-North district from Mondays to Fridays. I say, keep them coming, we aren’t complaining!
