Lu Han's social media accounts banned following bad behaviour online
8 Jan - It was revealed that all of Lu Han's social media accounts were made unavailable due to "violation of community laws and regulations".
On 6 January, it was reported that the authorities have ordered for all of his accounts on Weibo, Douyin and Xiaohongshu to be banned, following reports that he had been drunk and gave netizens the middle finger while going on live back in November.
It is also reported that Lu Han had also berated a netizen for posting a hate comment, causing the latter to finally apologise after being bombarded by the singer's comments as well as his fans. This was considered as cyberbullying by many.
In response to the situation, Lu Han took to his studio's social media account and posted, "I have set a bad example during the live broadcast. I hereby solemnly apologise and am willing to actively eliminate the negative social impact caused by this and assume the social responsibility that an entertainer should assume."
"From now on, I will be stricter with my behaviour and express my apologies to everyone with practical actions. I once again solemnly apologise to everyone," he added.
