Louisa So unperturbed by low ratings of "Phoenix Rising"

13 Jun - Actress Louisa So is not saddened by the fact that her 2007 drama, "Phoenix Rising" did poorly in ratings in its first week of broadcast.

As reported on Mingpao, the drama, which has never been aired prime time in Hong Kong despite the warm reception elsewhere back when it first came out ten years ago, recently premiered on TVB Jade.

However, viewers had since criticised the drama due to its poor viewing and sound quality. Its first week of ratings was below the 2 prefix, making it TVB's lowest rated drama.

When asked about it recently, Louisa stated that aside from the quality of the viewing, the drama and its stars' performance is really good.

"It was a good drama and it had a good script. Everyone had the opportunity to showcase their best performance. So did the technical problem affect the ratings? I will just ignore it," she said.

It was also noted that with the previous broadcast of "My Unfair Lady", which was shot in 4K ultra-high resolution, there is bound to be comparison between the two shows.
