Louisa Mak wants Miss Hong Kong to extend age limit next year

13 Apr – Louisa Mak recently expressed her support for TVB's decision to cancel this year's Miss Hong Kong pageant.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who won the title in 2015, stated that there is nothing more important than one's health and that that should be the priority in the times of the pandemic.

She also has her own proposal when it comes to next year's pageant.

"If the station relaunches the pageant next year, I think the age limit should be loosened and extended a bit, so that the girls who wanted to join this year but will not be eligible next year because of their age would be able to do so," she said.

As for Miss Hong Kong 1990 Anita Yuen, the actress said that it is regrettable that the pageant had to be cancelled, but that there is nothing can be done about it.

"The fight against the pandemic comes first. I hope that the situation will subside soon so that everybody can go back to their normal lives and continue the spirit of Miss Hong Kong," she said.
