Louisa Mak prioritises mental health over romance

8 Feb – Although she has been linked to several men since breaking up with attorney Joseph Lam, Louisa Mak stated that she is not yet ready to start another relationship.

As reported on Mingpao, the former beauty queen, who sat down for an interview recently, shared that while she would love to one day be in a good relationship, she would prefer to find and learn more about herself for now.

"I do have this feeling that I am not good enough right now, and that my mental state is not stable enough," she said.

Louisa stated that it is easy for one to question oneself and get lost when one works in showbiz.

"Audiences like to compare one artiste to another and criticise them. I am easily affected by this since I am not a confident person. So before I [get into a relationship], I want to strengthen my mental health first," she said.

The actress admitted that she currently has several pursuers, but that she needs time to know them more.
