Louisa Mak and Keith Shing are engaged
1 Feb - Louisa Mak and former pilot Keith Shing recently announced that they are now engaged to be married.
The news was shared by Keith first on social media, revealing a video in which Louisa proposed to him with a watch, with the former Miss Hong Kong saying, "A relationship is a two-way street. I want to express to you that I really want to marry you..."
He posted, "In the past, I thought I would be single for the rest of my life. It's so good to be alone without any restraints. However, due to the pandemic, I thought I had a stable job and suddenly lost my job. It turns out that I am not as stubborn as I imagined. We didn't know each other very well at that time, but when you heard about my situation, you asked: "Since we have a free schedule, do you want to go to a TV station to do part-time?"
"I saw a lot of things. But in the end... I just met a girl, and I want to know her myself," he added.
He then clarified in the comments that he popped the question first when they were in Sydney.
Louisa later shared the photos from Keith's proposal in Sydney, Australia, writing, "#WeSaidYes."
In a past interview, Louisa said that she and Keith have actually known each other for many years before they both joined the entertainment industry. However, it was only during the pandemic that they were reunited by chance through the TVB talk show, "Young and Restless".
"We became friends again and we got through the pandemic together. But it's hard to say when we have actually started dating," she added.
