"Lo and Behold" extended to 720 episodes
1 Feb – After getting an additional 180 episodes to its original 360 episodes in July last year, it was recently announced that "Come Home Love: Lo and Behold" will be extended yet again to 720 episodes.
As reported on Mingpao, the news was announced at a banquet held by TVB to celebrate the series reaching 30.5 points for its 1 January viewership.
When asked if TVB would extend the series further to surpass the record held by "A Kindred Spirit", which ended in 1999 with 1128 episodes, TVB Executive Catherine Tsang said that it is not an impossible goal for the show to reach.
"I am not making any guarantees, but this will be achieved through hard work. It requires a lot of different parties to come together. But I do hope that we can surpass "A Kindred Spirit"," she said.
As to whether the show will add more characters to attract more viewers, Tsang stated that the show is already exciting as it is.
"It has a lot of storylines to explore and a lot of room for development," she added.
