Lisa Rinna, 58, has defied age-shamers with a nude photo as the latest to support Paulina Porizkova’s newly taken off #oldandugly movement – Porizkova herself is 57, but looks more than a decade younger.

Rinna, actor, author and TV personality, has helped to turn negative comments from trolls into a positive by proudly posting a pin-up style image, wearing nothing but stockings and heels as she curls her eyelashes in a beauty mirror, her hair in vintage-style curls.

"Paulinaporizkov posed in a tiny bikini, and they called her old and ugly. I am 1 year older than Paulina. Here's my 'old and ugly'," her caption explains.

Many famous faces have flooded the comments showing their support. Munroe Bergdorf wrote, "WORK!" with a fire emoji, while Marc Jacobs said, "WOW!!!! amazing" and Paulina Porizkova herself wrote, "Holy cow Lisa, you just blow everyone right out of the water. There are not enough hot emojis here."

"Ha! That’s about the last two words anyone can use on you, love! You are GOALS and so [fire emojis]," fashion designer Dorit Kemsley also acknowledged.

Model, actor and author Porizkova found herself kicking off what has become known as the 'old and ugly' movement when she called out a troll who sent verbal abuse to her on a bikini-snap on Instagram.

"You must be in so much pain to keep posting bikini pictures at your age. I've always thought that getting old and ugly is hardest on the pretty people," the hateful message read in part.

Porizkova re-shared and exposed the comment that "echoes" many others driven by ageism and sexism.

"A woman of 57 is 'too old' to pose in a bikini – no matter what she looks like," she stated to highlight the abuse she'd received.

"Because 'Old' is 'Ugly'. I get comments like these every time I post a photo of my body. This is the ageist shaming that sets my teeth on edge."

Highlighting the difference in treatment between the sexes, she added, "Older men are distinguished, older women are ugly. People who believe prettiness equals beauty do not understand beauty.

"Pretty is easy on the eyes, partly because it’s a little bland, inoffensive. It’s easy to take in and easy to forget. Not so beauty. Beauty can be sharp. It can wound you and leave a scar. To perceive beauty you have to be able to SEE.

"This is why I believe we get more beautiful with age. We have earned our beauty, we understand what it is, and we can see it so much better. There is no such thing as ugly and old. Only shortsighted and ignorant."

She made clear she wasn't posting it for sympathy, but because "this is a pervasive sentiment that needs to be done away with" and "so we can be proud of ageing, as we deserve to be!"

Bella Freud commented on the post, "Gosh if you’re old and ugly it doesn’t leave much hope for us! I hope you’re enjoying your beauty and foxiness – and you’re still only 57!!!" while Michelle visage wrote, "You look, UNREAL."

Porizkova also shared the post to Twitter, mocking the fact she was accused of 'suffering'. This inspired many fans to comment on the thread with their own versions of 'old and ugly' and their own 'suffering' above a certain age, accompanied with pics.

"I'm suffering so much myself at 50 that I can just barely keep the bikini ON!" wrote one. "Enjoy it and remember they are jealous!"

"54 years young, bilateral knee replacements due to osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, scars and stretch marks didn't stop me from rocking bikinis on our DR trip last month!" commented another.

As well as women, men joined in too. "56. Still trying to lose the same 20 pounds for the last 20 years, but I can swim 2 miles without stopping in about an 1:10 and my wife, also 56, looks the same to me as ever," said one.

Porizkova then acknowledged the comradeship, saying it was "unbelievable" to her.

"At first beautiful mature women started to post their own 'ugly and suffering' bikini photos," she explained.

"And then, close-up selfies of their beautiful faces. And men got in there too, posting themselves at their 'old and ugly' age, hiking, working out, climbing mountains, hanging with their grandkids and their spouses – just having the times of their lives.

"AND - even more surprisingly (for Twitter) they were 'liking' each other’s post, commenting with love and grace.

She said she "ended up in terms at well past midnight" scrolling and commenting on the wave of affirmations of one another, and that, "for one night, the world seemed a beautiful place".

"THERE IS NO OLD AND UGLY. Only shortsighted and ignorant," she reaffirmed.
