This Hack For Wrapping a Gift Without Tape Is Mesmerizing

From House Beautiful

From using a glue gun instead of tape to getting creative with how to wrap oddly-shaped gifts, there are plenty of gift-wrapping hacks to mimic. But most of them involve at least two materials. If all you want to use is wrapping paper, there is a way you can cover a present with it–no tape required!

TikToker @beeandblooms shared a video in response to a commenter’s challenge to wrap a gift without using tape. The creator was up for the task and didn’t disappoint. She managed to wrap a rectangular-shaped gift with a series of folds.

People are stunned by this hack in the comments. One person deemed the creator a “black belt in gift wrapping.” Others chimed in with jokes. “Can’t even wrap my mind around this,” someone commented.

To try this gift-wrapping trick yourself, you’ll need a gift (ideally one that's box-shaped) and your choice of festive wrapping paper. When you determine how much wrapping paper you need, cut it into a square. Place the gift on top of the paper with the corners of the paper lining up with each side of the gift. Fold the paper over one of the longer sides and tuck the corner of the paper underneath itself. Fold in each of the sides. Finish off by folding the last piece completely over the gift until you reach the flap where you can easily tuck it in. It’s a fun challenge for any gift wrapping enthusiasts out there!
