Lee Jung-Jae to star in new Star Wars series "The Acolyte"

2 Dec - "Squid Game" star Lee Jung-Jae continues to expand his influence in Hollywood as he recently revealed that he will be part of a new Star Wars series.

The Korean star, who shared the news via video at the Singapore press and partner event Disney Content Showcase recently, stated that he has been cast in the upcoming Disney+ series, "The Acolyte".

"I star in Lucasfilm's original series 'The Acolyte,' I am happy to become a member of Disney family," he expressed, "I want you to look forward to 'The Acolyte.'"

Lee will be joined by Amandla Stenberg and Dafne Keen in the series that will be helmed by Leslye Headland.

The series will focus on the emergence of the dark side in the final days of the High Republic Era.

Among other shows that will be coming to Disney+ soon include Korea's "BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star", Japan's "Gannibal", and Indonesian series, "Hubungi Agen Gue!" - the latter an adaptation of the hit French series, "Call My Agent!"
