Lareina Song's studio denies tax evasion allegation
29 Aug - A year after Lareina Song (Song Zuer) was first accused of evading taxes, her agency finally released a response denying all allegations.
In a statement released on 27 August, her studio stressed that the actress has never evaded taxes and pointed at her former agency as the cause of the problem. They stated that it was her former manager who had been engaging in such misconduct, while Lareina herself has completed all of her taxes in accordance to the law.
The studio also emphasised that the previous posts by a Weibo user alleging the evasion were deliberate distortions of facts and malicious interpretations, and were suspected of seriously infringing upon Song Zuer's reputation.
They added that they have now completed the evidence collection and will reserve the right to pursue legal action in this matter.
In the same statement, her studio stressed that any more malicious accusations against the actress will be met with legal means, including but not limited to filing lawsuits.
