Lai Lok Yi won't worry about drama's viewership
13 Jul – Although his new drama has some big shoes to fill for taking the slot previously occupied by "Deep in the Realm of Conscience", Lai Lok Yi said that he will not let himself be pressured to gain better viewership.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the promotional event of new drama, "Who Wants a Baby" recently, stated that while there is some pressure, it is not as overwhelming since the two dramas are different in both concept and genre.
"The style of the two dramas are different. The previous series was a heavy drama. So now it's time for the viewers to be presented with a relaxing comedy for the summer vacation," he said.
When asked if he would watch the drama with his one-year-old son, Lai said that his son doesn't understand it yet.
"But he recognises me whenever he sees me in commercials," he added.
In "Who Wants a Baby?", Lai plays the role of a husband who is caught unprepared when his wife (Ali Lee) suddenly gets pregnant with their first child.
