Khairy Jamaluddin extends contract with Hot FM
23 May – It was revealed that the former Health Minister-turned-radio personality Khairy Jamaluddin will be extending his contract with Hot FM until December.
The news was announced by the Head of Hot FM's Digital & Audio+ Content Series, Shah Hayatudin, saying that Khairy, known by the public as KJ, will also be extending his airing time from one hour to two.
"The good news is KJ will be with Hot FM until the end of this year. KJ will remain on duty every Monday, but his airing hour will be extended by two. However, this is not limited to Mondays. If a special programme is required, he will show up," said Shah.
Said KJ, "I would like to thank the management of Hot FM, MPA and fellow presenters for welcoming my presence. Seeing that I was well received, we mutually agreed to continue my role and participation in the Bekpes Hot slot until the end of this year."
Prior to the new hours, KJ started work at 8am, being a part of the Bekpes Hot segment alongside AG, Johan and Fara Fauzana.
Meanwhile, Media Prima Audio (MPA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nazri Noran admitted that the politician's involvement has been very good for the station, that listeners would even start to wonder whenever KJ was not around.
