Kenneth Ma wants to win Best Drama rather than TV King
8 Jan – Despite receiving all the support from netizens and fellow celebrities alike to win TV King this year, Kenneth Ma would rather not think too much about his chances.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who sat down for an interview alongside Joel Chan recently, stated that luck plays a big part in one's chance on winning, aside from a good role and project.
"If you want to vote for something, vote for [my drama] "Big White Duel" to win Best Drama, since it was a group cooperation," he added.
When mentioned that a lot of fans wanted to see him finally winning the title TV King, Joel Chan chimed in and said that the actor deserves to get it.
"I became a lead actor just recently, and would need more time to make more progress. But Kenneth has been doing it for many years," he said.
It is noted that fans had rallied behind Kenneth to win the said title back in 2017 through his hit TV series, "The Exorcist's Meter", but the actor was bested by Vincent Wong, who won for his role in "Legal Mavericks". He instead won My Favourite TV Male Character, a category that he won again the next year after losing TV King to "Life On the Line" star, Joe Ma.
On the other hand, Kenneth has already won a similar title at the Singapore's StarHub Night of Stars back in November for his performance as Dr Tong Ming in "Big White Duel".
