Kelly Chen makes rare appearance at HKFA
19 Jul – It was a pleasant surprise for fans to see Kelly Chen appearing at the Hong Kong Film Awards, having been quiet throughout the pandemic.
The actress, who appeared on the red carpet of the prestigious event on 17 July in her Monica Ivena gown, shared that she decided to accept the invitation to attend the event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the awards.
"I want to celebrate it together with friends and support the film industry," she said.
Seeing a lot of new faces, Kelly stated that it made her eager to return to acting.
"As long as the script is good, it will be worth it," she said, jokingly added that she doesn't want to play anyone's mother.
On the other hand, the singer revealed that she will soon return with a new music release.
"It will be next year, the earliest. I want to release new songs so it will be fresh, and I want happy songs," she added.
