Keanu Gets His Gun in the 'John Wick: Chapter 4' Trailer

It's been a little over two years since John Wick broke all the rules and went rogue, taking the fight to the top brass while being hunted by every assassin in the world. Now, the silent killer who seemingly never misses a shot is after a group called "The High Table." Little is known of the plot to come, but the fourth installment of the series will take place all across the globe, including Paris, New York, Osaka, and Berlin. Keanu Reeves, who has starred as Wick for the past nine years, will also take on two of his action film heroes, Ip Man's Donnie Yen and Mortal Kombat's Hiroyuki Sanada.

In the moody first trailer released for director Chad Stahelski's John Wick: Chapter 4, Bill Skarsgård's new character, Marquis, warns that "a new day is dawning." John Wick not only has some never-before-seen family members sitting on the High Table, but hundreds of new adversaries out for the increasing price on his head. "I'm going to need a gun," Keanu tells Laurence Fishburne, returning as the king of Bowery's underground criminal network. Ian McShane and Lance Reddick will also reprise their roles along with newcomers Shamier Anderson and singer Rina Sawayama.

"Just have fun out there," Continental hotel manager Winston tells John Wick in the explosive trailer, which sees the action star firing guns outside of a sleek car with its door blown off, on the back of a horse, and against multiple assassins on a European staircase. The preview of the fight with Yen—a sword in one hand and a gun in the other—also looks flat-out sick. "John may survive all this shit, but at the end of it, there’s no happy ending. He’s got nowhere to go,” Stahelski told The Hollywood Reporter. "He’s fucked for the rest of his life. It’s just a matter of time." Check out the trailer below as we await John Wick: Chapter 4, in theaters March 24, 2023.
