18 Apr - After previously expressing her love for Aamir Khan, Hong Kong singer Kay Tse was ecstatic to finally meet the Bollywood actor in person at a special talk held at the University of Hong Kong and later the Hong Kong premiere of his new movie, "Secret Superstar".
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who performed the Cantonese version of the movie's theme, "Nachdi Phira", shared that she had spoken to the renowned filmmaker, and that Aamir asked her to recommend several Hong Kong movies to him.
"He asked me to give him a list. I will recommend him my boss [Juno Mak's] movie, "Rigor Mortis", and some of the movies starring [my husband] Louis Cheung," she said, adding jokingly that her husband forced her to recommend his movies.
When asked if it was challenging for her to sing the theme song, which was composed to fit high-pitched vocals, Kay replied, "It's not that difficult. But the original song is in Hindi, so it wasn't easy to retain its "style" in Cantonese."
On the other hand, Aamir revealed that after making a movie about sports and entertainment, his upcoming new project will be a fantasy-adventure film.
