Karl Ting thankful to work on "The Man Who Kills Troubles"

20 Nov– TVB newcomer Karl Ting recently admitted that he is thankful and happy to be able to participate in his first ever anniversary drama, "The Man Who Kills Troubles".

As reported on Mingpao, the Mr. Hong Kong alumnus, who has yet to work in many series since joining the company in 2016, stated that becoming an actor has always been his dream and that he is happy that people on the streets recognised him now since playing the role of rugby team member Ko Chun in the drama.

"It's like a sense of accomplishment for me when people called me by my character's name than when they called me by my real name," he said.

However, Karl admitted that he is wary of the fleeting nature of popularity, and that having a lot of jobs today does not secure his position for tomorrow.

"You have to always take care of yourself and not make any mistakes. In order to enhance my acting, I have enrolled in acting classes. I know that I am not very good, but I am not too bad," he added.

When asked who is his idol in showbiz, the actor named Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Sean Lau, adding that his favourite movie of the former is "In the Mood for Love".
