Julius Liu is now alone after losing his grandmother

6 Apr – Singer Julius Liu (Liu Wei) recently revealed that he is now all alone, after losing his grandmother, the only family member he had left.

The mainland singer shared the sad news on Weibo on 3 April with photos and videos of him with his grandmother, writing, "My favourite grandma, thank you for being by my side from the moment I was born until now. You've always been there with me every day."

"Thank you for being my first listener when I first planted the seed of becoming a singer by singing and dancing at home. Thank you for teaching me to be a kind person who cares for others," he added.

Julius also expressed his apology for concealing about his parents' passing from his grandmother before, but thankful that his grandmother came to stay with him after their passing.

"If there is a next life, I still hope that you will be my grandmother again."

Sadly, Julius admitted, there will be only him now in the household registration book, now that he has lost her. The singer lost his mother to cancer back in April last year, before revealing his father's passing in October the same year.
