Joshua Bassett Trolls Himself Over Olivia Rodrigo on TikTok

Joshua Bassett is out here trolling himself over his, uh, very public relationship and breakup with Olivia Rodrigo.

In a TikTok shared earlier in the week, Joshua played a game where the first letter you get = the love of your life. Naturally, he immediately got an “O,” took an awkward pause, joked “second letter is the love of my life,” got a “Q,” and said “Okay, Q. I’ll take it.”

Quick reminder on Joshua and Olivia's whole THING, though I can only assume it occupies a permanent place in your memory: Olivia allegedly wrote “Drivers License” about Joshua and his rumored relationship with Sabrina Carpenter, and while things were dramatic for a minute (Joshua dropped his own breakup song with the lyrics “Half the shit you’re saying’s only half true / Messing with my life as a career move"), they seem pretty chill these days?

But back in March 2020, Joshua told BuzzFeed, “I get it. I get why people are asking about that stuff—but it doesn’t really get to me. I’m also proud of her and the success that her song is having. I really couldn’t be mad at the situation.” He also expressed his support for “Deja Vu” on Insta Stories, saying, “SUUUUUUPER late on this but I love this song so much, Olivia. The world better watch out for the album.”
