Joey Meng angered by rumours of affair
6 Aug – TVB actress Joey Meng recently denied rumours saying that she and "Officer Geomancer" co-star, Johnson Lee, was having an affair while working on the new series.
As reported on HK Channel, the rumours started when a source claimed that Joey and Johnson often meet for meals and act extra friendly with each other, angering Joey's husband, scriptwriter Sap Sam Chan.
Photos of the two sharing an umbrella after a group meal were also published in tabloids, with the articles claiming that the two of them even kissed.
Furious with the rumours, Joey recently clarified the issue via phone interview, saying that she was only having dinner with friends and did not expect that such rumours would come out.
"I don't need to explain myself as friends who were with us know the truth. The paparazzi who took those photos also know the truth," she said.
Joey also assured that her husband was not affected by it, as they have been married and working in the show business for a long time.
