Joe Chen ties the knot with Malaysian partner, Alan Chen

4 Apr – As the world celebrate the wedding of Korean celebrity couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin, Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and Malaysian beau Alan Chen quietly announced that they are now married.

In an Instagram photo where they showed off their wedding bands, Joe announced, "Simple yet a lot. Having you by my side is just right. Thank you for your blessings."

"An important milestone for us. Today marks the end of March and beginning of our wonderful journey, together. May each day bring us our hearts closer. Love you forever, my husband," she added.

The couple dated for over two years before tying the knot

On the other hand, Alan also shared a similar message on social media, and added, "Love you forever, my wife."

It was revealed that Joe and Alan registered their marriage at the Daan District Household Registration Office in Taiwan.

Joe met Alan, a Malaysian visual artist who is nine years younger than her, on the 2019 Chinese reality show, "Meeting Mr Right 2" and continued to date since then. Prior to joining the show, Joe admitted that she had been single for six years and was hoping to find love on the show.
