JJ Lin releases Mandarin version of "Despacito"

29 Jan – Singer-songwriter JJ Lin has recently released his own spin on Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's global hit song, "Despacito".

According to Epoch Times, the singer's collaboration with Fonsi sparked as early as November last year, and that the two of them originally wanted to create a brand new song together.

However, due to the popularity of the aforementioned song, JJ and Fonsi instead decided to re-release the song for the Chinese market - with JJ performing it in Mandarin. Fans of the Puerto Rican singer can also enjoy his first attempt at singing in the Chinese language.

JJ revealed that he is happy to be given the opportunity to work with Fonsi, saying, "Music is the best way to break all boundaries. This cooperation has set up a new cultural bridge."

The new song has been released since 25 January.
