Jessy Mendiola singing praises of Luis Manzano
13 Jul - Though she was previously tightlipped about the true nature of their relationship, Jessy Mendiola recently decided to be more open about it when told that Luis Manzano has admitted that they are going out.
"Oh, really?" she asked, when mentioned about Manzano's interview during her appearance at FHM's event recently.
Mendiola admitted that they started off as ordinary friends, and described the actor as the kind of person who she can talk to.
"He was the kind of friend who, even if you haven't seen for a while, can just talk with about life and about anything and just catch up," she said.
"We became closer, of course after the not-so-good incident. But we don't talk about that," she said.
Mendiola was referring to the controversial airport incident involving Enrique Gil.
As for the actual moment that Manzano courted her, Mendiola smiled, and responded, "I think it's around May [this year]."
However, she added that it just happened and neither she nor Manzano would have a clue how it actually started.
Mendiola is also thankful that Manzano defended her when his ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin's fans accused her of being the third party in the couple's relationship, saying, "I would never ruin a relationship. I thank him for defending me."
When asked to describe what she loves about the actor, Mendiola, who once stated that any girl would be lucky to have him, responded, "He is a gentleman and very kind-hearted. Everyone who knows Luis knows how kind he is."
