Jennifer Yu is happy for Hong Kong Film Awards nominations
8 Feb - Although she previously lost the Best Actress accolade at the Golden Horse Awards, Jennifer Yu is nominated yet again, this time at the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA).
The actress, who is nominated for her performance in "In Broad Daylight", shared that she has always wanted to walk the red carpet at the HKFA and now her dream is coming true.
"I am very happy that the movie received 16 nominations. I am very confident of the film when I was filming it," she said.
However, Jennifer said that she will not think too much about her own category, and that she hopes that her other colleagues will win in their respective categories and be recognised for their hard work.
It is noted that Jennifer has already received a Best Actress accolade for her performance in the role from the Hong Kong Critics Society.
Other stars who are nominated in the same category are Kay Tse for "Band Four", Michelle Wai for "Ready O/R Rot", Louise Wong for "A Guilty Conscience" and Chung Suet Ying for "The Lyricist Wannabe".
The ceremony will take place on April 14 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
