Jennie Kim expresses condolences to victims of LA wildfire
13 Jan - BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim recently took to social media to express her condolences to those affected by the wildfires that has been engulfing a better part of Los Angeles, California.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram Story on 11 January, the singer posted, "Our hearts are broken for all those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, a place so near and dear to our hearts. So many families, communities, and first responders are facing unimaginable challenges and losses right now."
"We stand with you all and encourage everyone to lend a hand however they can. Please stay strong and take care of each other," she added.
Jennie also shared a link to an LA Times article listing all the places where residents affected by the fire can get help in terms of accommodation, food and even monetary assistance.
It is noted that the singer previously filmed her debut series, "The Idol" in Los Angeles.
At least 11 are dead in the fires that erupted on 7 January starting from Pacific Palisades, which has now spread to many other areas by the Santa Ana winds.
